Raku II

It has been an exciting weekend and very smokey!
On Friday we were glazing our pieces to fire the next day.
The whole Saturday marveling at what the fire and the heat did. And while we waited for each batch was ended, we all enjoyed the food we had organized.
I promise to take some pictures of my stuff when I have stopped to look and touch them. I can't stop!

Raku

You never know what will happen every time you open and step through a new door. I like to step through new doors and see what is or what happens inside. This time it's the one leading to the Raku workshop, which began this weekend.
I love ateliers! of all kinds! (perhaps ,because I don't have one!).
I like the smell and the tools. I always wonder who is the person who thought of creating a particular tool, used for a particular purpose and what was the process that led to it.
Last year I took a workshop in ceramic, so the surroundings were not entirely unknown. Especially I liked to create all objects without wheel, sitting quietly, calmly modeling and accepting the result, although it was not perfect nor was I had in mind.
In two weeks we glazed and to the kiln...how exciting!
Way home on my bike humming this song. :)
