Weihnachtsmarkt

Last night we went to the Christmas market in Gendarmenmarkt.
The truth is that we spend most of the time eating and drinking (crepes, waffles, grilled sausages, caramelized almonds and a lot of yummy things). And while we chew, we walk around looking how German elves sell cookies, how someone carved figures of enormous trunks and how people get in chorus with the group of tenors. The power of the mulled wine... and the spirit of Christmas.
And would not really be Christmas without the final detail to return home in a snowstorm.

Anoche fuimos al mercado de Navidad que está en Gendarmenmarkt.
Básicamente te pasas el rato comiendo y bebiendo (crepes, waffles, salchichas a la brasa, almendras garrapiñadas y un montón de cosas ricas). Y mientras masticas, te paseas viendo como elfos alemanes venden galletas, como alguien talla figuras de troncos enormes y como la gente se pone a coro con el grupo de tenores. El poder del vino con espacias... y el espíritu navideño.
Y no sería realmente navideño sin el detalle final de volver a casa bajo una tormenta de nieve. Noche completa.
