You never know what will happen every time you open and step through a new door. I like to step through new doors and see what is or what happens inside. This time it's the one leading to the Raku workshop, which began this weekend.
I love ateliers! of all kinds! (perhaps ,because I don't have one!).
I like the smell and the tools. I always wonder who is the person who thought of creating a particular tool, used for a particular purpose and what was the process that led to it.
Last year I took a workshop in ceramic, so the surroundings were not entirely unknown. Especially I liked to create all objects without wheel, sitting quietly, calmly modeling and accepting the result, although it was not perfect nor was I had in mind.
In two weeks we glazed and to the kiln...how exciting!

Nunca sabes lo que va a pasar cada vez que abres y cruzas una nueva puerta. Me gusta cruzar nuevas puertas y ver qué hay o qué ocurre dentro. Esta vez es la que lleva al taller de Raku que empezaba este fin de semana.
Me encantan los ateliers! de todo tipo! (quizá porque no tengo uno!).
Me gusta como huelen... y las herramientas. Siempre me pregunto quién pensó en crear cada herramienta, que sirve para un propósito determinado y cual es el proceso que le llevó a pensar en hacerla.
El año pasado hice un curso de cerámica, así que el entorno no me resultaba desconocido. Sobre todo, me gustó crear todos los objetos sin torno, sentada tranquilamente, modelando con calma y aceptando el resultado aunque no fuese perfecto ni era el que tenía en mente.
En dos semanas haremos el esmaltado y al horno... qué emocionante!
