A few weeks ago my little neighbour (little because he's 9 years old) gave me a present: a Bonsai.
I love to look at him. I dream of being tiny, seating under him and watching the world from there.

Hace unas semanas mi pequeño vecino (pequeño porque tiene 9 años) me hizo un regalo: un Bonsai.
Me encanta mirarlo. Sueño que soy pequeña, sentarme bajo él y mirar el mundo desde allí.

I love this book. You can learn some words in japanese and learning some japanese customs.

Mixed Nuts

I forgot to tell you about Mixed Nuts. A little while ago I was invited to participed in a collective show in Adelaide (AUS) by Kirsty (Lollibchie). The challenge was to take a blank nut shape and do whatever we wanted with it.
I created Odile.

Now you can see the participants work here. And if you fall in love you can ever buy one nut!

Olvidé hablaros de Mixed Nuts. Hace algún tiempo Kirsty (Lollibchie) me invitó a participar en una exposición colectiva en Adelaide (AUS). El reto era convertir una forma redondeada, como de cacahuete en aquello que nosotros quisiéramos.
Así salió Odile.
Ahora podéis ver el resto de trabajos de los participantes aquí. Y si alguno os gusta incluso podéis comprarlos!

Frankfurter Buchmesse

The most pleasant thing of this trip was coming back to Germany. I realize how much I miss it only once I'm there.
I was attending a few conferences with colleagues from EIF (Europeann Illustrators Forum). We spoke about our labour market and regulations, among other things. If you want to know more about EIF you can see it here.
We also touched The US Orphans Work Bills topic and how it will affected us. We are afraid that this regulations can be applied in similar ways here in Europe. If you want more information go here in the Illustrators Partnership of America.

I didn't have much time to visit the Bookfair. I enjoyed a show by Illustrators of Alsace (France) and the Chronicle Books stand (they make such beautiful books!)

Now I have plenty of work to catch up. I hope your week was great too!

Lo mejor del viaje ha sido volver a Alemania. Sólo cuando estoy allí me doy cuenta de lo mucho que lo echo de menos.
Estuve en unas conferencias con compañeros de EIF (Europeann Illustrators Forum). Hablamos sobre la situación económica y el mercado laboral ,entre otras cosas. Si queréis saber más sobre EIF podéis verlo aquí.

También tratamos el tema del US Orphans Work Bills y cómo puede afectarnos. Tememos que esa regulación pueda, tarde o temprano, ser aplicada en Europa. Si os interesa saber más sobre el tema podéis verlo aquí en el Illustrators Partnership of America.

La verdad es que no he tenido mucho tiempo de visitar la feria. Disfruté con una exposición de ilustradores de Alsacia (Francia) y el stand de Chronicle Books (qué bonitos libros hacen!)

Ahora tengo un montón de trabajo que retomar. Espero que hayáis tenido una gran semana también!!

I go to the Frankfurt's Bookfair today. We have a meeting with other european illustrators and we have a few conferences. Mine is about economic and professional situation (glups!).
