Art and love in the streets. A show from Robert Indiana. This days are being so hot....38 ºC !! It's so difficult to stay at home! If you want to participate in Morphe II, please go here. If you like characters, go to cccelsius.
This is Lotta. She's my first doll (and probably the last one, because I was definetly not "born" to make dolls. I just wanted to try. Now I know it!). She was born with the music. I use to listen to music while working. I love all styles; it depends on the mood of the day. Yesterday I was in a "Keane" mood. I love their music and lyrics. For no reason I visited their website and it happens that they have a new album released today. The cover design is powerful, well... all the designs in this album and its singles. The art is from the finnish artist Sanna Annukka. Just beautiful!
I'm very happy,my new website is finished. I'm fixing some little problems. If you have 2 minutes, please go and take a look. I'll appreciate all your comments and criticism. Last year I participated, with other members from APIM (the Association of Ilustrators from Madrid) in a show commemorating the "Don Quijote" anniversary. Now the Instituto Cervantes put the show online. You can see it here. I want to send a special THANKS to Sara (Paperlily)for the beautiful post she wrote about my work. I printed it and put it on my board. It will be a great help for the "gray" days. Thank you so much.
We are all angels or devils everyday. The theme for Illustration friday this week. The new IF site is fantastic. Thanks Penelope and Brianna for the new site!
I want to thank you all for the kind comments you sent regarding the Red Riding Hood box. I'm thinking of making some others, based on other themes. I'm at the beach right now, visiting my parents. It is just like summer!! Incredible!!
This is the last (hmmmm... or maybe not) Red Riding Hood project. The image was in my head...now it's in a wooden box. It's a 3D collage with fabrics, hand painted fabrics, original illustrations on paper, felt clouds hanging from the top,... Here you can see some pictures in detail and here with the glass protection. A little world to hang on the wall!
