One year a go M and I made a tryp to southern USA. We drove all the way along Florida's coast, Alabama, Mississipi...and made it to New Orleans, where we spent a few days and enjoyed it daytime and nighttime. This week I've been thinking a lot of "our" hotel (Hotel House Olivier) in the French Quarter, and thinking of the people we met there...are they alright? I sincerely hope so.
I just found out about Crafters United on Etsy. I have decided to contribute with two softpaintings.

how wonderful that you have visited the part of the USA that I grew up in. I lived in Mississippi for nearly 20 years of my life. It is devesting to read and watch the horror of what the people in New Orleans are facing. I am heartbroken. Just today at the super market here in England, on a front page newspaper there were pictures of children that have lost their parents in the floods. I just froze, staring at the photographs of those innocent children and felt broken. Well done you for contributing and putting your talent towards a wonderful cause.
Also, I LOVE the music of M's band!!!!!
