Nick Jr. magazine

I have done one page illustration for the April's edition of Nick Jr. Mag. It shows how to do a tooth tote.
It was a real pleasure to work with them, everything went so smoothly!
Last week I was very busy. I went to a school to talk to 50 kids about a book I illustrated some years ago. It was very exciting and exhausting. The funniest thing was that they wanted an autograph from me! (if they didn't have the book they wanted it drawn on their hand!) . They make me feel like a rock star!
And like the rock stars now I have the flu :(
Ana sent me this wonderful link. Thanks Ana! It makes me feel better!

Gracias Ana! Hace que me sienta mucho mejor!

The morning

I started my day baking. I love the smell all over the house in the morning.
I was inspired by the book Ana sent me yesterday. Thanks Ana!
The book is this one. With beautiful pictures. They have recipes with salty muffins!

I would love to have an eco-friendly castle like this when I was a child. And now as well!

Im working on a book for very little children (3 years). It's about rhymes.

I'm always surprised looking through the net. This time because someone scan his sandwiches! Scanwiches. :)

Gourmet

Gourmet

I was in a Gourmet fair a few days ago. It was very interesting, chefs all over the world cooking and speaking about his work. I was taking some pictures of Miguel, he was giving a masterclass about mixology with rum.
I tried all kinds of wines and foods. I was amazed with the ice cream, new flavours as foie, parmesan, wasabi, boletus....
I was speaking with an hungarian chef who was cooking vodosh with dumplings (very similar to my mother's way to cook. She's german). He was teaching me about the paprika and the parsley root (very common use in hungarian gastronomy).
The illustration with the Mole Chef is not a representation of the hungarian chef, of course! I was thinking that a mole is the perfect prospector for parsley root.
Isn't wonderful? You can learn something new everyday.

Books+good company+illustrations+food=the Fair

It was difficult to take pictures at books. I can't do two things at the same time, so I prefer to watch the books and enjoy them.
I like Lane Smith's work and I saw his new book, with this wonderful title: "Princess Hyacinth. The tale of a girl who floated".

The tale of a girl who floated".
Y especialmente gracias a Xavier Salomó.
