Walking without destination.
I found this renewed building with Jack Babiloni paintings (near Alonso Martínez). The motto of the work is: "Todo felicidá" ( All happiness).

Lovely Debbie Powell illustrations.

Madrid

It was a sunny and cold day here in Madrid.
The perfect weather to take a walk and make some pictures in my way to the art shop.

Gracias

Gracias

This morning I woke up with one word in my mind: Gracias (Thank you).

First of all I want to say a big thank you to all of you who left me a comment in my previous post with best wishes. Thank you for your love.
I am happy to live in this moment in time, with such advanced technology, central heating, computers, the internet and with all the facilities and gadgets that connect us and keep us in touch.

I give thanks for my friends, all the nice people I met this year, all of you who I still haven't had the opportunity to meet in person (yet!) and for the publishers I work, have worked with and will work in the future for caring, sharing, supporting and believing that I can do things I am not even aware I can do.

I thank the music and the musicians because with music everything seems different, sometimes even better.

Today is one of those days in which I am sure that the dogs that I will find during my walk will smile back at me (I know they can smile!)

And for this cloudy day, wonderful music by Melodie Gardot. She shares her gandmother advice...

A sunny weekend.
I went to a show about abstract art in China: The Yi School.
I saw this wonderful show about the Etruscans too.

I love "Stupid things I've done for love" by Alex Noriega.

Me encanta "Stupid things I've done for love" de Alex Noriega.

I'll try to show you a little bit my city.
Some parts of the city look like a samll town. This is the case of the area of Malasaña (Barrio de Malasaña).
Madrid
Madrid
Madrid
It's a relief to find little shops like this traditional butcher. (I don't like malls)
Madrid
And this café, Café Comercial. And old café with old chairs, old tables and old waiters (sometimes a little bit grumpy).
Madrid
And after all the walking I met my friend Patricia and we spend sometime in a bookshop enjoying illustrations.

USA

"And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright - tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope ".
